Tony McManus

Tony is a Chartered Engineer with over 20 year’s industry experience in structures, materials and façade engineering.  He has a wide ranging set of projects and sector experience, which includes leading the structural and facade engineering on some of the UK’s most high profile arts and culture projects.  He is a key member of the FMDC management team and leads one of our resources pools.

Tony is an industry renowned materials experts, who is able to offer advice and guidance on all aspects surrounding the design and procurement of buildings using masonry, concrete and cementitious materials in particular. 

He also has extensive relevant experience in bricks, terracotta and natural stone façade materials, including the design, analysis and structural properties of materials and fixings. This work extends to defects, condition and durability surveys as well as forensic engineering for existing buildings and refurbishment projects.  Tony’s background and reputation means he also has experience of working for high profile clients where expert opinion is required in the event of disputes.

Key FMDC projects include; St Johns Wood Square, R8 Kings Cross, 50 Berkely Street, Hill House and many others.  In his spare time Tony enjoys playing and watching football and spending time with his young family.
