Duncan Richards

Duncan is a founding and now the Managing Director of FMDC.  He has over 30 years of experience in the facades business with a strong reputation for a balanced blend of creativity and pragmatism that is paramount to the successful realisation and delivery of key projects.

He has been a key influencer in delivering challenging UK and international schemes designed by signature Architects. Some of these schemes over the years have included Portcullis House, Abu Dhabi Airport, Bloomberg HQ, Rathbone Place and over 10 buildings on the Kings Cross estate.

Whilst operating at the most senior level, his discerning client base still appreciates him being “hands-on” and thriving in workshop discussions where design ideas are quickly explored and sketched through, to arrive at appropriate and, in many cases innovative, solutions.

Duncan divides his time between in Scotland and London to service both project and practice commitments.  He enjoys music, hill walking, and exploring the great outdoors in his camper van.
