Sachin Manoharan

Before joining FMDC as a Graduate Facade Engineer, Sachin practised architecture in India for about 3 years and subsequently moved to the UK to pursue his passion for facades and their relevance to an increasingly carbon-aware world. He holds a MSc in Modern Building Design specialising in low carbon building envelope design, from the University of Bath, UK. He has gained comprehensive knowledge of different façade systems, building physics including thermal calculations, carbon assessments, BIM integration and façade material analysis from his UK experience.

Prior to joining FMDC, Sachin did a year-long research placement within the Technical Design Group at Foster + Partners as part of his masters, where he wrote a dissertation on natural ventilation potential, and its relation to health and safety of openable windows in high rise buildings, earning him a distinction.

Beyond facades, Sachin fortunately likes to run, cycle and play badminton. He is a longtime follower of F1 and cricket and loves cooking spicy South Indian food.
