FMDC Ltd‘s Lefteris Siamopoulos presented our work on the reuse of stone at Zak World of Façades Manchester, at the Panorama St Paul’s project by KPF architects, currently under construction in the City of London. This unique project uses Portland stone carefully removed from the existing building, which is then resurfaced, cut to size and cast onto new precast panels (by Grants Group), for reintroduction into a new facade. Much of the primary frame is also retained, in a brilliant push for sustainability, which provides improved views of St Pauls, whilst significantly increasing NIA and driving value for the client Orion Capital Managers.
