The Fitzrovia

The Fitzrovia is a new office and residential medium-rise building with retail on the ground floor, situated in the vibrant Tottenham Court Road.

Designed by Stiff + Trevillion Architects for M&G. The Fitzrovia achieved BREEAM Outstanding Design and has been appraised in terms of energy use, resulting in its award of a 5-star Design for Performance NABERS rating.

The cladding comprises terracotta (celadon-glazed) and brick-faced precast, with a proprietary punch window system fixed to the precast panels installed in the precast yard. Precast panels are stacked from the ground floor and restrained on every floor. On the ground floor, the precast is stone-faced (basalt) with a glazing stick curtain wall system.

FMDC was involved since stage 2 working directly with the client and novated to the main contractor (KIER) at stage 5 to work closely with the sub-contractors and inspect the works on site.
