Stonecutter Court

Stonecutter Court is the redevelopment of a corner site in Farringdon, between 1 Stonecutter Court and 81 Farringdon Street, for Ivanhoe Cambridge and Allianz.
Designed by TP Bennett, the grade A Office development comprises of 13 storeys, with 2 basement levels, podium and four roof terraces. FMDC were involved from early design stage through to completion of façade installation on site.

The facade design is a unitised SSG system with fixed DGU glazing with solar control coating and external GRC and aluminium fins, designed and installed by Focchi.

On the prominent building corner, unitised curtain walling was designed to create a diamond grid, perceived by the architect as a ‘crystal’.

At the ground floor, stick system curtain walling again creates diamond shapes to activate the street frontage.

Natural Portuguese limestone is used at lower levels in lieu of GRC, with distinctive modelling to create a decorative pattern.

Constructed by Mace, with a net zero carbon delivery strategy, the building achieved a BREEAM Excellent rating and WELL Gold Standard.
