Copyright Building

The Copyright buildings was FMDC first project with Percy & Co. which has since grown to include collaborations on Millennium Bridge House, 33-36 Berkely Square and the Network Building.
It was also our first project for developer Derwent London, which again has grown into others. The building is a medium-rise office in Fitzrovia, with the Berners Street facing façade using Italian Travertine as a principle façade material, framing bronze clad punched picture windows, internally clad in timber.

The project was built by Skanska as main Contractor and was completed in 2017.  The rear Mews elevation uses long format Peterson Tegl bricks with punched steel windows, to reflect the more utilitarian nature of the service mews.

The beautiful Travertine is hand-set construction and required quarry visits by FMDC geologists to agree the range sampling and overall visual characteristics.

FMDC were engaged from early design stages through to completion on site, in a CMT type capacity, to monitor quality and adherence to the design intent.
