Millennium Bridge House

Millennium Bridge House designed by architects Piercy & Company for developers Beltane Asset Management is an office building located on a unique and complex urban site on the North bank of the river Thames and straddling Upper Thames Street.
The concrete structure of the original building was partially retained to support the new cladding elements comprising precast concrete panels manufactured and installed by Loveld, faced with Jura stone by Hofman and with factory fitted glazed infills by GIG.

The South façade was one of the main technical challenges of the project, with solid circular Jura stone columns spanning vertically between a series of cantilevered, thermally broken, horizontal ledges at each floor. The circular stone columns sit in front of a series of glazed sliding doors making up the bulk of the façade and allowing for a physical connection with the river, as well as a stunning views over the water and the opposite bank beyond.

FMDC Ltd were involved in the project from early design stages through to completion and Millennium Bridge House is one of several collaborations with Piercy & Company.
