Last week, Lisa Nunn and David Richardson of the FMDC Ltd stone team visited the University of Greenwich and presented “Urban Landscaping with Stone” to the Landscape Architecture students, who also got a hands-on experience with samples of popular stones used in many landscaping projects. The presentation covered an introduction to natural stone types and popular stones used in landscaping, featuring award-winning natural stone projects and highlighted the importance of stone selection and testing.
The students were also given an insight into the sustainability of stone, as well as stone industry practices showing dedication to making an already sustainable material even greener. It was a pleasure to meet Kristofer Cullum-Fernandez and great to catch up with Duncan Goodwin!
