Irene Mantovani recently visited façade contractor Focchi Group’s factory to review a series of cladding benchmarks for Stonecutter Court. The benchmarks included the diamond-shaped panels forming the faceted unitised curtain wall above the building entrance, and the prefabricated stone rainscreen columns to be located around the perimeter of the ground floor. FMDC Ltd have been involved as façade consultants for the project since design stages and are currently working post-contract for Main Contractor Mace.
Irene Mantovani and John P. (John Pritchard), Project Director for Stonecutter Court at tp bennett architects, will give a joint talk as part of the Facades in Focus: ‘Ask the Experts’ Breakfast Event hosted by Sotech Architectural Facade Systems at the Building Centre on 30 November, and delve into the project background, technical requisites, challenges, and invaluable lessons learned during the construction phase.
