14 Handyside, Kings Cross

14 Handyside (aka R7) is a new medium-rise office, designed by Morris + Co, for Related Argent, in the northern quarter of the Kings Cross regeneration, which also includes retail, restaurant programme and space for a cinema.

The £70M build cost delivered a fully let, multi-tenanted building with a BREEAM Outstanding rating.

Kier were Main Contractors for the building, with Lindner supplying the coloured PPC aluminium unitised curtain walling, in 2 shades of pink.

FMDC provided post-contract facade consultancy services to Kier for the construction phase of the project, reviewing drawings and other submittals, visiting site and factories to monitor quality and compliance with the Employer’s Requirement.

The building was completed in 2017
