10 Lewis Cubitt Square, Kings Cross

10 Lewis Cubitt Square is a mixed-used building designed by AHMM architects for Developer Argent, occupying a prominent position in the new Kings Cross Central development.
The deep building cladding to the office floor plates is made of precast fins and ledges, manufactured and installed by Techrete, in front of a unitised curtain wall system incorporating vertical extruded terracotta tiles by Sub-Contractor Lindner.

Double height Oriel bays executed in steel stick curtain wall with curved glass units provide the shop front and theatre enclosure around the perimeter of the building at street level.

FMDC were involved in the project from early design stages through to completion, working both as part of the Novated Team to Main Contractor Kier who delivered the project, and in a Client Monitoring Team capacity to Argent during construction.

This very successful project was shortlisted for numerous awards, including the AJ Architecture Awards 2023 and the Concrete Society Awards 2023 and highly commended at the 2023’s the Civic Trust Awards.
